Applicants must have a declared major either in Biology, Environmental sciences or Natural Resources Management and might have completed a minimum of 30 credits to get admitted to Tropical Green School. Since this school offers different study abroad programs, a particular program of interest may specify additional requirements. The application process and supporting documents for all IISAC’s tropical school programs include the following:

Completed application form and $50 application fee in favor of IISAC (Download application).

Transcript from the current college and all previous colleges.

List of courses taken in biology, environmental sciences or natural resources management.

One recommendation letter from a professor in an area pertinent to the academic content of your program.

Field school programs involve considerable outdoor activities and students are expected to be in good physical and mental health.
ADMISSION TO FACULTY LEAD SHORT TERM PROGRAMS
Students, who wish to enroll with IISAC’s partner institutions in the US conducting field study programs in Kerala should approach your professor in charge for enrollment. In such cases, you don’t have to apply to IISAC’s Tropical Green School. Eligibility will be decided by your university. For such collaborative programs, credits are awarded by your own university. IISAC’s professors will provide instructional and field support while you are in Kerala.
ADMISSION TO PRACTICAL TRAINING OR RESEARCH PROJECTS
Students who wish to join our practical training or research projects should contact our program director Prof. Sunny Luke. He will direct you how to win the approval from your university for credit transfer. The allowed transferable credits will vary from 3 to 6.
ADMISSION TO SEMESTER PROGRAMS
Students who wish to join our semester program of 90 days duration should contact our program director Prof. Sunny Luke. He will direct you how to win the approval from your University for credit transfer. The allowed transferable credits will be 15 credits per semester. Fall semester starts on August 15th while Spring semester will start on January 20th and will last for 90 days. Students should except several individualized courses and directed field and lab research projects in this program.
